JBL Mesh Belt / Small Radius Series

Small Radius Spiral Freezer Belt, Reviewed Around the Actual Spiral System

JBL Mesh Belt reviews turning geometry, belt width, link arrangement, drive interfaces and replacement evidence for compact spiral conveying paths. Final construction follows confirmed equipment data and an approved project drawing.

For new equipment, existing-belt replacement and repeat-supply projects. Start with a drawing, photographs or the measurements you can confirm.

Project route

Start With the Buyer Decision

The first review route depends on whether the belt is for a new machine, an existing-line replacement or repeat supply from an approved record.

New equipment

Start from the complete spiral system

Review drum or cage geometry, belt path, turn direction, usable width, drive interfaces, product load, temperature and cleaning conditions before the belt construction is fixed.

Send first: Equipment layout, drum or cage dimensions, belt path and operating conditions.

Start this review

Existing-belt replacement

Measure the old belt and its interfaces

A product name or nominal width is not enough. JBL Mesh Belt compares link layout, pitch pairs, rod and wire dimensions, edges, center links and drive details with the installed system.

Send first: Full-belt, edge and sprocket photos; caliper readings; drawing or sample if available.

Start this review

Repeat supply

Keep the approved specification traceable

Use the previous approved drawing, reference dimensions and agreed inspection points as the starting record, then confirm any equipment or operating changes before release.

Send first: Previous drawing or order reference, quantity, required date and any changed conditions.

Product family decision

Choose the Structure Before Comparing Dimensions

These families can serve spiral or turning applications, but their drive and support logic differ. They are not interchangeable from the product name alone.

Small Radius Spiral Freezer Belt

Compact spiral paths where pitch pairs, inner / center / outer link geometry and the project radius definition control the selection.

Confirm first: Turning geometry, link layout, belt width and drive interfaces.

Spiral Freezer Belt

Broader spiral freezing and continuous cooling projects using a reviewed spiral-belt structure and project-specific edges or accessories.

Confirm first: Drum geometry, turn ratio, edge route and support requirements.

Self-Stacking Belt

Systems in which the side plates form and support stacked conveying tiers as part of the belt path.

Confirm first: Stacking height, side-plate geometry, tier clearance and drive route.

Side-Driven Belt

Systems where side or edge engagement is the primary drive interface.

Confirm first: Drive pitch, engagement geometry, sprocket or rail interface and edge clearance.

Drawing + mm / in table

Use the Drawing to Identify Every Project Dimension

Reference values below come from the current Small Radius technical specification. Listed options do not mean every combination is valid. Final dimensions, tolerances and combinations follow the approved project drawing.

Small Radius Spiral Freezer Belt Technical Drawing

Provide your equipment or belt drawing to confirm the named dimensions. O/A width means overall width.

Turn-ratio coefficient
1.1 reference only; definition and applicability must be confirmed
Surface treatment
Pickling / electropolishing
Edge treatment
Button welded / flat-hat welded / rod welded
Sprockets
Optional; material, tooth count, bore and keyway follow the confirmed project drawing

Pitch pairs are inner / middle × outer. The 1.1 turn-ratio value is a reference under review; the formula, radius basis, belt-width definition and applicable structure must be confirmed for the project.

Send your drawing or old-belt measurements. JBL Mesh Belt will map the missing dimensions and interface data before quotation.

Drive + replacement control

Confirm the Interfaces That Decide Fit

A compact turning path still depends on the complete system. Record these inputs before the replacement or OEM specification is approved.

Turning geometry

Confirm the radius reference, drum or cage diameter, belt width, direction, inner / center / outer pitch relationship and available clearance.

Drive and sprockets

Record the drive position, engagement surface, sprocket material, tooth count, bore and keyway. Existing sprockets must be reviewed with the belt rather than assumed compatible.

Replacement evidence

Use an old-belt drawing, labeled measurements, full and close-up photographs, sprocket details and a sample section when available.

Agreed check points

Define the dimensions, edge details, finish, packing and any turning-trial requirement on the project record. Product photographs alone are not running-test evidence.

If a turning trial is required: agree the trial drum or radius basis, belt direction, load, speed, duration and acceptance points in writing. These project photographs do not document a powered running test.

Customization

Customize From Confirmed System Data

JBL Mesh Belt can review project-specific dimensions and structures. Customization remains conditional on the complete belt geometry, drive interfaces, operating conditions and approved drawing.

Material and surface treatment
Spiral pitch and approved rod-pitch pair
Wire and rod dimensions
Overall width and project length
Inner, center and outer link geometry
Edge treatment and center-link arrangement
Matched sprocket details where required

Reference ranges guide the discussion. Final values and valid combinations are released only after engineering review and drawing confirmation.

Buyer questions

Six Questions to Resolve Before Ordering

Use these answers to prepare selection, specification, drive, replacement, installation and quotation data.

How do I know whether my system requires a Small Radius Spiral Freezer Belt?
Start with the equipment layout, drum or cage dimensions, belt width, turning direction and the existing link arrangement. JBL Mesh Belt reviews the complete spiral path and compares Small Radius, Spiral Freezer, Self-Stacking and Side-Driven routes before a structure is selected. The product name alone does not confirm the choice.
Which dimensions define the Small Radius belt for my project?
Confirm O/A width, spiral pitch, rod-pitch pairs, rod diameter, spiral wire diameter, inner / center / outer link width and thickness, link height, edge type and center-link position. The radius or turn-ratio definition must also be tied to the same equipment drawing.
How does JBL Mesh Belt confirm the drive and equipment interfaces?
Send the drive position, drum or cage dimensions, sprocket photos or drawings, tooth count, material, bore, keyway and available clearance. JBL Mesh Belt records the interface points that must match the approved project drawing; compatibility is not inferred from a brand or model name.
Can JBL Mesh Belt review a replacement when the original drawing is missing?
Yes. Begin with full-belt and edge photographs, labeled ruler or caliper measurements, sprocket details, a system photo, a running video and a sample section when available. JBL Mesh Belt will identify missing data before a replacement specification is released.
What should be checked before installation and cleaning?
Confirm running direction, joining method, guides, tier and edge clearances, product-contact surfaces, cleaning chemicals, salt or brine exposure and the equipment maker's installation requirements. Final instructions must follow the confirmed belt and equipment records.
What information should I send for a quotation?
Send the project type, application, product and load, operating temperature, belt width and length, turning geometry, pitch and diameter measurements, link and edge details, drive or sprocket information, cleaning conditions, quantity, destination and required date. Drawings, old-belt photos or a sample make the review more useful.

Engineering-controlled inquiry

Send the System Data That Controls the Decision

Attach the equipment or belt drawing, old-belt dimensions, drive and sprocket details, operating conditions and available photos. JBL Mesh Belt will identify the next confirmation points for the project.
