Trial Sample Approval Reduces Risk Before Customized Mass Production

After drawings and key specifications are confirmed, JBL Mesh Belt can prepare material and produce a trial sample or small-batch sample for approval. Customized mass production starts only after the buyer-approved reference is clear.

Trial sample evidence

Define the Checkpoints Covered by Sample Approval

Trial samples and comparison photos can document selected structure and measurement checkpoints before production. They do not by themselves confirm installed application performance.

Sample structure review

Sample structure review

A physical sample can show visible side plate, pitch, rod, mesh, edge, and assembly details.

Dimension confirmation

Dimension confirmation

Measurement photos support approval for the photographed checkpoints and stated method.

Welding reference

Welding reference

Welding and assembly photos document visible details; acceptance criteria must come from the agreed reference.

Evidence scope: Photos and records establish only the visible product, measurement, inspection, test, or packing step shown. They do not by themselves confirm installed performance or interchangeability. Final release follows the confirmed drawing, operating data, drive interface, and agreed validation scope.

Drawing to Sample Approval Flow

01
Confirm drawings, old sample references, application conditions, and critical dimensions
02
Prepare material and run a controlled trial-sample or small-batch production step
03
Choose the approval route: send the physical sample to the buyer, or compare JBL Mesh Belt's produced sample with the buyer's original sample
04
Use buyer approval as the gate before customized mass production is released

When a Trial Sample Helps

Replacement projects with incomplete historical data
OEM layouts that need physical confirmation before larger release
Applications with geometry, turning, or low-temperature sensitivity
Projects where the buyer wants approval evidence before custom mass production
Two Approval Routes

Buyers Can Approve by Physical Sample or Sample-to-Sample Evidence

The approval method depends on project risk, buyer process, and whether an original belt sample is available. In both routes, the purpose is the same: confirm the reference before custom mass production.

Physical Sample Sent for Approval

After drawing confirmation and material preparation, JBL Mesh Belt produces a trial sample and sends the physical sample to the buyer for review and approval.

Documented Sample-to-Sample Comparison

When the buyer has an original sample and this route is agreed, the produced sample can be compared by selected dimensions and structural checkpoints, with photos or records prepared for approval.

Approval Checklist

Record These Items Before the Buyer Releases Production

The checklist is adjusted to the product and project risk. Items that do not apply can be marked accordingly; missing critical items remain open rather than being treated as approved.

Approved drawing number and revision, with all open points either resolved or clearly recorded
Material grade and the agreed scope of material evidence
Belt width, pitch, wire or rod diameter, and other critical dimensions with agreed tolerances
Edge, side plate, chain, joint, weld, and surface-finish details that apply to the project
Running direction, inside and outside orientation, and the reference side used for measurement
Sprocket, drum, turn, stacking, or guide interface checkpoints where they affect the belt design
Approval method: physical sample, dimensional comparison, photographs, video, inspection record, or agreed combination
Buyer approver, approval date, accepted limitations, and written instruction to release the confirmed production scope

Sample Approval Has a Defined Boundary

A sample can approve the dimensions, construction, workmanship, and comparison points listed in the agreed checklist. It does not by itself approve installed tracking, long-duration wear, thermal cycling, sanitation results, operating load, line speed, or complete conveyor-system performance. Those outcomes require separate installed or operating evidence under recorded conditions.

Start the Review

If your project may need trial-sample approval, include that intent early with the drawings, buyer sample, and application notes. That helps JBL Mesh Belt decide whether to send a physical sample or prepare a documented comparison record before mass production.
